OHHHH HIII
HAHAHAHAAH niceeee !!
Glad you had fun!
Oh Hugh, very funny, but sometimes I worry that you have far too much free time on your hands. Could this be dangerous for society as we know it? Oh well, it does seem to make all the young lovelies happy, and that’s not a bad thing.
The Santa thing is a type of cosplay. Cosplay is fun, relatively cheap and you do make friends! For whatever reasons, cosplay is a lot prevalent in Asia than in the US and I ultimately think that is a healthy thing. Americans have tons of free time, way more than most Asians, but I do think Americans rely way toooo much on beer and bars to be social. There are other ways to be social. In Asia you have Taichi in the parks. You have informal hip hop clubs in the malls. In China, there are ballroom dancing places that serve green tea, no alcohol! Lots of teens stick to soda when doing KTV in KTV parlors. There are a lot of clean, cheap and sober social, public activities that I wouldn’t mind seeing Americans doing!
Oops, brainfart at this end. I didn’t know I had to register. I’ll do it now.
Looks like it was a fun couple of days
Well as you must know Elise, our mutual friend, took many of the Santa photos in Taipei (http://s883.photobucket.com/albums/ac35/foxhugh/Taiwan%20Santa/) and did a great job but there was an energy in Bangkok I never felt in Taipei. The Thais are just more joyful people than the Taiwanese!
Terrific pictures my friend !
Enjoy your time in Thailand, I will let you know about my next visit to South-East Asia.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !
the previous message was from me, Cyril Galland…
You are more than welcome to join us next Christmas!
