  1. Thanks for this list! It, and another list, but especially this one, has just helped me put together a sheet of common and interesting jobs for my 6th class (11 and 12-year-old’s) to consider and answer some questions, such as:
    RANK THE LIST YOU MADE. THAT MEANS: RANK YOUR TOP TEN DREAM JOBS… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
    WHAT JOB WOULD YOU LIKE AT 20 YEARS OF AGE?
    WHAT JOB WOULD YOU LIKE AT 50 YEARS OF AGE?
    WHAT JOB WOULD YOU LIKE AT 75 YEARS OF AGE?
    WHICH DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND—MAKE A LIST OF 10.
    Very helpful to get them aware of the possibilities in life. Thanks.

    • Your activity looks great and like something I would do with students that are native English learners at that age or ESL students of any age. My blog is a bit schizophrenic. It started out as a personal blog but I found my blog was one heck of a hypermedia tool for my classes. The beauty of putting stuff on a blog is that you can put the link on the worksheet and they can get extra information from your site online. I find lists lend themselves to so many ESL activities and when I start a list I get a little OC and make it as comprehensive as possible.

      Our school does have an “elearning” system but its sooo clunky compared to the excellent interface WordPress offers and people outside of your class can’t cannot access the info! Someday I will have to write a proper paper about using a blog as a class resource.
