Alohomora – Opens locked objects

Aparecium – Reveals invisible ink

Avada Kadavra – Murders opponent Unforgivable

Avifors – Turns small objects into birds.

Avis – Launches birds from your wand

Crucio – Tortures opponent Unforgivable

Confundus – Used to confuse opponent

Conjunctivitis – Damages opponents eyesight

Deletrius – Counters “Prior Incatato”

Densaugeo – Enlarges Teeth

Diffindo – Splits seams

Dissendium – Opens “One eyed witch” hump

Engorgio – Enlarges and item

Ennervate – Counters Stupefy

Episkey – Used to heal small wounds

Expecto Patronum – Creates a Patronus

Expelliarmus – Disarms your opponent

Ferula – Creates bandages

Fidelius – Hides a secret within someone

Finite Incantatum – Stops any current spells

Flipendo – Knocks an object backwards

Furnunculus – Produces boils on opponent

Homorphus – Lockhart’s Werewolf “cure”

Impedimenta – Slows an advancing object

Imperio – Controls a person Unforgivable

Impervius – Makes an object repel water

Incendio – Starts a fire

Locomotor Mortis – Locks opponents legs

Lumos – Creates light at wand tip

Mobiliarbus – Moves objects with wand

Mobilicorpus – Moves unconcious bodies

Morsmorde – Conjures the Dark Mark

Nox – Counter to Lumos

Obliviate – Erases memories

Orchideous – Conjures a bunch of flowers

Petrificus Totalus – Body – Bind

Point Me – Wand acts like a compass

Priori Incantatum – Result when brother wands duel

Prior Incantato – Reveals a wands last spell / cast

Quietus – Counter spell for Sonorus

Reducio – Returns items to original size. Counters Engorgio

Reducto – Blasts solid objects aside

Relashio – Releases user from binding

Rictusempra – Tickles opponent

Riddikulus – Use this spell and laugh to defeat a boggart

Scruge – Destroys ectoplasm (remains of ghosts)

Sectumsempra – Violently wounds the target

Serpensortia – Produces Snake

Sonorus – Amplifies voice

Stupefy – Knocks out opponent

Tarantallegra – Forces opponent to dance

Tergeo – Clears liquids away

Waddiwasi – Unsticks an object

Wingardium Leviosa – Makes on object fly

  1. did you forget “sectumsempra?”

    • I don’t know this spell! What does it do? I can add it to the list if I know what it does.

      • it hurts or gives pain to an opponent. the half blood prince(snape) made it. and harry unintentially makes draco bleed by this spell, when in a panic attacking him.

  2. Tergeo and Episkey.
    Tergeo clears liquids away, Episkey is used to heal small wounds.

  3. sectumsempra causes slashes to appear over the victim’s body which bleed profusely.

  4. dont forget Protago the reversing spell which reverses the effect of the spell used on you back at the man or women who casted it!!!

  6. What about knox? It extinguishes the light created by lumos.

  7. And lumos maximos lights a whole room.

  8. what about muggletum repelio (repels muggles), protego horribelum (shield that surrounds a building), and anapneo (makes a person breath).

  11. Diffindo splits seams, erecto erects an object like a tent, scourgify is a cleaning charm, cleans surfaces, Gemineo is a duplicating charm, and expulso is a explosion spell. Sorry about double post

  12. theres also Spongify, ( the Cushioning charm. it makes ground soft if falling or they use on broomsticks to make it more comfortble) Carpe Retractum –used to pull objects closer, (similar to accio but it has more of a rope look)Glacius – creates ice, Draconifors – turns statue dragons into real ones, Lapifors – turns small objects and creatues into cute bunny rabbits, Reparo fix an object and Snufflifors – turns books into mice. most of these i got from the game.:)

  13. oh yes, theres also Aguamenti ¬- creates water
    Herbivicus: Plant Growing Spell
    and
    Ventus: Used to summon whirlwinds 🙂

  14. you forgot , Jelly legs jinx : a charm that makes one’s legs wobble like jelly
    Lumos solarum : used to force Devils snare to withdraw from someone
    Reparo : repairs to normal charm { fixes broken stuff }

  15. You forgot Levicorpus which picks up a body. Bombarda makes an explosion. Flagrate allows the user the write in the air with fire. Fera Verta changes small animals into goblets. Renneverate which is the correct spelling of “Enneverate” Commom mistake

  16. Aresto Momentum is used to stop or slow down moving objects….dumbledore used it to stop harry from falling…

  17. has anyone posted octo repairo? hermione uses it to fix harry’s glasses twice… i didnt read thru the comments so i dont kno if it’s been posted already or not.

  21. Hi, I think you forgot Aquamenti which creates water, sometimes enough to fill a cup, other times in a jet as a form of attack.
